The Role Norton Rose Fulbright is currently running a number of strategic initiatives and programmes that include new core financial and practice management systems (SAP) implementation. Significant planning and design is already taking place across the wider Finance function. The Partner Affairs & Tax team are looking for an individual to assist them with transitioning their existing processes to SAP, with focus in particular on dealing with payments of profits to Partners of NRF LLP in Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA). Duties and responsibilities Working closely with the Senior Manager of the Partner Affairs & Tax Team and the Head of the Partner Affairs & Tax Team: Undertaking of a range of core financial tasks (reconciliations / data validation / reporting / data migration) Assisting in creation of a systematised and streamlined process for monthly and quarterly payments due to Partners of NRF LLP (EMEA wide), to include relevant and effective written analysis of any changes proposed for the regional Finance teams Performing tests to validate financial information, undertaking financial audits and producing reports and recommendations Reviewing and reconciling existing current account balances in relevant currencies Migrating data from existing practice management system to SAP Providing other ad hoc support to the wider Partner Affairs & Tax team Skills and experience required Qualified Accountant Expectation of need to and willingness to 'get hands dirty' Experience and understanding of reconciling large amounts of data Experience of working within a management consultancy in a similar role will be highly desirable Forensic approach to problem solving Understanding of balance sheets and accounting technicalities A degree level education is desirable but not essential Strong working knowledge of MS Excel- including pivot tables High levels of computer literacy and competence Very good organisational skills, methodical in approach with high attention to detail Proven ability to multi-task Ability to work confidentially in all aspects of the role, as position will have direct access to financial / confidential information Diplomatic in approach as position will have access to senior management An enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills Ability to liaise with staff of all levels within the organisation Adaptable and able to complete tasks without close supervision Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative At Norton Rose Fulbright we welcome direct applications.
