"Deep bench of practitioners acting for a strong roster of listed and growth clients." - Chambers & Partners We are looking for a senior lawyer to join our highly regarded Corporate team in London, focusing predominantly on Equity Capital Markets and public company M&A work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top-tier Chambers and Legal 500 rated team and advise on high value, strategically important and often international projects within a supportive and collegiate environment. This is an exciting time to join the team, with the focus on ECM having been further strengthened by the arrival of a new partner in May 2016. The practice We advise domestic and international companies and financial institutions on all aspects of equity capital markets transactions. We are particularly strong in the mid-market, handling Main Market and AIM IPOs, secondary issues, public company M&A and other strategic corporate activity for quoted clients as well as providing day-to day corporate governance and regulatory advice. We regularly advise over 50 quoted companies ranging from large FTSE 100/250 businesses, such as Hargreaves Landsdown, MITIE and TalkTalk, to Ibex 35 quoted companies, such as Grifols. We have strong institutional relationships, working with many investments banks, sponsors, nomads and other financial advisers, including Investec, Canaccord Genuity, Cenkos Securities, Shore Capital, Panmure Gordon, Peel Hunt, Liberum, Cantor Fitzgerald and finnCap. The team was nominated and highly commended for 'Corporate team of the year' at the 2015 Legal Business awards for its work on the GBP3.8 billion merger between long-standing client Carphone Warehouse Group plc and Dixons Retail plc. Advised Altium Capital in its capacity as financial adviser to Cathexis on its GBP85 million hostile offer for ISG plc. Technical skills and experience You will ideally have knowledge and experience of advising public companies/investment banks on equity capital markets transactions, takeovers and wider regulatory and corporate governance matters which will have been gained at a well-respected City or National firm. Due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking for a Senior Associate, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.
