Solutions Architect An opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect to join one of the UK's largest privately owned organsiation. You will be alongside an Enterprise Architect who is in the process of setting up a formal Architecture practice for the first time in the company's history. Your role is involved creating and owning technical design and solution architecture for a range of IT projects across both the entire IT landscape. With an emphasise on the integration and configuration of COTS and cloud system alongside the hybrid infrastructure that the systems sit on, you will be responsible for the design on new solutions, ensuring that they uphold the current architecture principles and standards set up place as well as providing governance for all design activities within the organisation. Requirements: Previous experience in a in a Architecture role. Knowledge of TOGAF or comparable architecture frameworks. Knowledge of Archimate or comparable architecture modelling language. Knowledge of solution architecture and technical design within an enterprise environment. Experience of integration and configuration of COTS and Cloud systems within a predominantly Microsoft environment. Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand. Responsibilities: Ownership of solution architecture and technical designs within programmes of work. Supporting design activities whilst ensuring their conformance with Technical Design procedure. Providing governance for design activities Utilising and maintaining architecture artefacts. Monitoring of technology market and promoting development of future platforms.
