Software Engineer - Cyber Security Guildford £35k- £55k A brand new R&D team are required to join a rapidly expanding global online security organization building a brand new team in Guildford. The company builds real-time backend systems dealing with high volume events and they`re looking for 3 mid-level software engineers who want to work on some very challenging projects. The company cover sectors from Telco and Government through to FS and Defense with solutions including critical infrastructure protection, threat migration, Hadoop big data lakes, data breach management, cloud assurance and IoT; the successful candidates will be part of a new team which will be developing a range of new applications and tools as well as making build decisions, influencing product development and participating in more complex integration projects. At the moment the company is offering full remote-working until the new offices are set up then allow the option for one / two days from home in the long run as well as a competitive salary for the right candidates and the chance to work with a company that has developed a blockchain security technology designed for real-time detection and mitigation of cyber-attacks. This company are one of the strongest in their sector and this will become a team of software developers, security specialists and network architects who have decades of experience building cyber security solutions. The successful applicants will ideally have experience or at least an interest in blockchain / security / cryptography and be interested in working within a technically challenging role; key skills would include but are not limited to - - Linux/Unix software development experience - Experience with any of the following; JVM/Java - Familiarity with distributed systems building scalable and fault-tolerant services - Sound experience of Network API/REST - Experience in developing web services - Good knowledge of basic network protocol - Experience in rapid prototyping, agile development - Ability to work with team and partners in multiple geographical locations You should have an appetite for tackling complex and interesting software challenges and want to build systems that handle data on a global scale in a timely manner.
