My client are a local building society for local people and it’s their pleasure to welcome customers looking to buy their own home or make their savings grow so they can realise their dreams. They also take great pride in their role within the local Reigate community and support a number of local clubs and charities through sponsorship and other funding models. The Role Main responsibilities include: · Prepare counter for daily work. · Maintain tills including adequate cash float. · Marketing Leads · Provide excellent customer service in respect of withdrawals, credits, transfers etc. · Opening and closing accounts. · Prepare letters for withdrawals, credits, transfers, closures etc for post. · Maintain adequate levels of brochures /forms/applications etc. · Internal audits – applications, ISAs, and others. · Manually post Standing Orders on the Exceptions Report to the correct accounts. · Processing Faster Payments. · Post changes/details to customer accounts. · Tick back entries to customer accounts. · Answer the telephone and provide information as required or re-direct to another department, as appropriate. · Banking including taking cash/cheques to and from main bank in accordance with the procedures. · General filing. · Administration of internet service My HBS. · Typing up the outgoing post. · Assist testing of our main computer software releases as directed by the IT Manager. · Ensuring Money Laundering Regulations are complied with and that suspicious transaction reports are completed and reported to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer. · Ensuring we treat customers fairly as part of Retail Conduct Risk where the fair treatment of customers is central to the corporate culture before, during and after sales. · Ad hoc tasks as deemed reasonable by the Savings Manager/Supervisor The Person Experience from a banking or financial background would be an advantage as this is working on a counter but is not essential. As this is a customer facing role what my client are really looking for is someone with customer service experience and who has very good people skills. They really want someone who is kind, presentable, friendly and being well organised is very important as the counter can get very busy and they will also need to do some admin work.
