Our client is currently looking for a Cath Lab Nurse to work in their Hospital in South London. This is a private hospital, with an extensive tradition of work in Cath Lab as it was one of the first hospitals in the country to offer such facilities. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory completes procedures for inpatient and outpatients, both routine and emergency. Procedures in the Cath Lab include diagnostic coronary angiography and interventions, right heart catheterizations, peripheral angiography and interventions, renal angiography and interventions, electrophysiology studies and ablations, pacemaker and ICD implants, tilt study, cardioversion, ankle brachial index study. As such we are currently looking for a Cath Lab Nurse, with at least 2 years’ experience in Cath Lab, to join this team in Surrey. RESPONSIBILITIES Within the team and under general supervision, the nurse will provide and coordinate nursing care by: Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care Educating patient on their disease process Assuring continuity of care Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being Performing and supporting in the performance of: Diagnostic coronary angiography and interventions, Right heart catheterizations, Peripheral angiography and interventions, Renal angiography and interventions, Electrophysiology studies and ablations, Pacemaker and ICD implants, Tilt study, Cardioversion, Ankle brachial index study REQUIREMENTS: BSc of Nursing NMC Registration in place Extensive Nursing experience in outpatient and inpatient settings 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience ON OFFER: Work in a hospital with a large tradition of Cath Labs – One of the first in the Country Extremely attractive salary Family like work environment and team Training and Development opportunities Flexible Schedule On-call and extra time opportunities available Great location with great transport links If you believe you have the requirements for this position, and you would like to be considered for it, please send your CV in Word format.
