Due to the ongoing need to maintain our grassed pitches and other green spaces we are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our busy leisure centre. What your role will be You will be responsible for all general landscaping and maintaining of the grounds around the site, you will operate a ride-on mower, strimmer and other grounds maintenance equipment ensuring our environment meets the needs of our customers.As a Grounds Maintenance Operative you will also maintain all designated athletic discipline areas to competition standards, ensuring that all artificial pitches and surrounding areas are in good condition and maintained to a high standard. You will assist with setting up and taking down equipment as well as ensuring all equipment is in line with the parameters set by governing bodies.You will also assist with ad hoc work across the centre, including basic painting and fixing. Your background You will have a background within grounds maintenance and general landscaping. In addition you will have experience maintaining grass football pitches to a standard required in order for football to be played, including use of a roller and aerator. Knowledge and experience of how to maintain pitch throughout the year is essential. Some weekend work may be required to cover events.
