Working for South West Extra Care Service at either Dray Court, Guildford, Riverside & Falkner Court, Farnham, Japonica Court, Ash.

An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children's and Adults' Barred List checks will be required for this role.

The aim of Extra Care Housing is to provide a safe, secure environment with 24-hour personal care, support on site, to maximise the independence of frail and vulnerable individuals.

Joining us as a Community Care Assistant, you'll be doing something that really matters. Working from either Japonica Court, Dray Court, or Riverside & Falkner Court, you'll have the responsibility for individual, sensitive needs of those who require support. It will be your job to provide support with all daily living tasks, including personal care, medication and mobility.

You'll be there to ensure dignity, choice and control is maintained for those who feel like they have lost it from their lives. They'll look to you for support and guidance, a helping hand, and most importantly; allowing them to continue with their lives.
You'll come to us with a real passion to help others. A natural communicator, you'll take easily to dealing with sensitive and sometimes difficult situations, diffusing any tensions and making sure those in your care are at their ease. You will either hold, or be able to work towards an Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification.
